

Bert Harding Wren was born in Dallas Tx. on July 3, 1920. He passed away on August 11, 2011 after hard fought battle with cancer. Bert received Christ as his personal savior as a young boy. Bert began his career in the aviation industry in 1941 at the Southern Aircraft Corporation in Dallas where he performed a critical role in the fabrication and the supervision of aircraft components for the war effort. In June of 1943 he entered into active service in the Army Air Corps. where he serve as a C-47 crew chief in China, India, and Burma, until the end of the war in January 1946. After the war Bert began his career with the Vought aviation corporation where he worked in many different capacities until his retirement in 1985. Bert married Eudine Smith in 1947 until her death in 1988. Bert re-married Margie Clark of Oklahoma City on April 18, 1991. They celebrated their 20th. wedding anniversary in April of this year. Bert enjoyed traveling, playing golf, going to the symphony and theater, attending church, and watching western movies.
Bert was preceded in death by his Father Fletcher F. Wren, Mother Martha J. “Bickerstaff” Wren, seven brothers and sisters, and his first wife Eudine “Smith” Wren. Bert is survived by his wife Margie “Frazier” Wren, stepsons Dr. Stephen Clark and wife Janet of Clarksville Tn., Mike Clark and wife Gailene of Oklahoma City, Kelly Clark and wife Holly of Mustang Okla. Step Grandchildren Kim Rogers and husband Joe of Oklahoma City, Julie Clark Brown of Nashville Tn., Jimmy Clark of Clarksville Tn. Whitney Allen and husband Mitch of Oklahoma City, Matthew and, Taylor Clark of Oklahoma City, Tia and David Ferguson of Mustang Okla., Step Great Grandchildren, Chris and Codey Lasiter of Oklahoma City, David, Jami, and Chris Rogers of Oklahoma City, Wyler Blu Allen of Oklahoma City, Cailen and Addison Kleet of Mustang Ok., Jason Johnson and John Morrison of Mustang Ok.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Church of the Incarnation, 3966 McKinney Ave. Dallas 75204. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Incarnation, the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
