Bertha Alcoser Barrientes, 92 passed to be with Jesus our Lord on July 8, 2023 in Rowlett, Texas. She was born October 16, 1930 to Pablo Alcoser and Evangelina Buitureira. She was raised in Brownsville, Texas but lived most her life in Dallas.
Bertha dedicated her life being a homemaker and raising grandchildren. In her spare time Bertha enjoyed taking long walks, dancing, reading and mostly spending quality time with family.
Her family will always remember her as loving, the one who was always available, the caring one or even by her pet names such as “Ma”, “Grandma”, “Grand Mama”, or even “Vieja”.
She is preceded by death by her husband, Joe P. Barrientes; daughter, Chris Landa; parents and other loved ones.
She is survived by her daughters, Guadalupe Lopez, Juanita T. Miller; sons, Joe Barrientes Jr., Bernard Barrientes, Arthur Barrientes and his wife, Beatriz and children Daisy, Anthony, Nathan, Michael, Andrew and Ariel; son, Lucas Barrientes wife Dolly and daughter Toni; granddaughter, Amber and children, granddaughter, Lisa Soto and family; sister, Carmen Trevino and family; and sister, Viola Benavides and family.
No one really knows what a person really lives through because we all have our very own specific circumstances. Like all, Bertha blessed many and also made her share of mistakes and we may all have our opinions of what she could’ve or should’ve done. All I can say is that she lived her life the best she knew how and for a person that the Lord granted to live a long life, she must’ve done something right. We will keep her in our hearts and in our memories always, The Lord have her in His glory.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.gonzalezfuneralsdallas.com for the Barrientes family.
