Bessie Marie Carroll

With hearts full of love and gratitude, the family of Bessie Marie Carroll announce her peaceful passing into eternal rest on February 8, 2025, at the age of 86. Bessie was born to Walter and Bertie Carroll on February 25, 1938, in Devine, Texas. Bessie revered as a pillar of strength, bravery, positivity, and love. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniable loving spirit she brought into the world. Bessie never wavered in her compassion for others. She always supported her family and extended a helping hand to anyone in need. Even with little to spare or when sick and in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. Most importantly, Bessie was faithful to God. Her unyielding commitment to teaching and sharing the good news with her loved ones will live on forever.

Bessie is survived and lovingly remembered by her son Paul Pritchard, daughter Tanya Pritchard, nine grandchildren (Calvin Johnston, Amber Smith, Heath Johnston, Louis Johnston, Sarah Graham, Amber Day, Destiny Jefferson, Halston Pritchard, Hayden Pritchard), thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is joined in rest by her father Walter, mother Bertie, son Dual, great-grandson Tyler, and eight siblings (Clyde, Charlie, Jerry, Ted, Velma, Ozella, Johnny, and Leslie). With an extensive family tree and a family consisting of both blood and bonds formed from the heart, Bessie is cherished deeply and will be remembered by all.

A celebration of life service for Bessie will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Frwy, Dallas, TX 75232.
