

Bessie Marie Disch, 94, of Oak Point, Texas, passed away on May 4, 2026. Born June 30, 1931, in Parsons, Kansas, Bessie was the daughter of Jose Ybarra. Throughout her long life, she was deeply beloved and known for a gentle steadiness, patient strength, and a selfless way of caring for others that spoke more loudly than any words.
Bessie served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952, attaining the rank of Private First Class. Her years of service reflected the quiet resolve and dependable spirit that would continue to define her life in the decades that followed.
A devoted and hard-working presence in her community, Bessie dedicated 47 years of faithful employment to Besway Exterminators Inc. Her commitment was marked not only by perseverance, but by the kind of wisdom that comes from showing up day after day with integrity, humility, and calm purpose.
Bessie is survived by her sons, Rick (Myra) Oliver of Denton, TX, and Randy (Suzanna) Oliver of Oak Point, TX; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her brother, Joe Ybarra of Mound Valley, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne T. Disch, her sister Mona Davidson of Mound Valley, KS and her brother Alex Ybarra of Mound Valley, KS.
Visitation with the family will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home & Hillcrest Mausoleum & Memorial Park, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225, on May 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Rosary will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225, on May 10, 2026, at 6:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on May 11, 2026, at10:00 am, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 7405 W Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225, on May 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
