Bettianne was born on January 31,1944, in Amsterdam, New York, and was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Shelp) Saum. Marion R. Fox was the father she knew and loved. After graduating from West Seattle High School, she attended the Julliard School for the Performing Arts in New York City on a dance scholarship. She was the beloved wife of Robert ‘Bobby’ Goldman, who preceded her in death on May 16, 1999.
Those left to cherish Bettianne’s memory are her devoted children: Cherri McKinstry and her husband Michael of Southlake, Texas, Rennee DeSaye and Admon Adam of Phoenix, Arizona, Amber Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia, Quinn Goldman and his wife Melissa of Lewisville, Texas; her siblings: Robert Saum of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Renee Johnson of Anchorage, Alaska; her beloved grandchildren: Faith McKinstry of Southlake, Texas, Logan DeSaye of Phoenix, Arizona, and Avery Goldman of Lewisville, Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Craig Small of Huron, South Dakota.
Bettianne worked in the corporate world for most of her adult life then changed career directions by serving as a Hospital Unit Coordinator (HUC) at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Scottsdale until her retirement.
She loved music, dance, yoga, gardening, antiques and animals.
