Betty J. Bellingham, 98, peacefully passed away Friday evening September 12, 2025. Though homebound for the last eight years, she lived alone enjoying life and her family and friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She was widowed in 1985 when Robert Bellingham passed but found companionship with NA Rowland until his death.
Born September 19, 1926, in Dubois, Pennsylvania, as one of six siblings to John Burton and Mary Burton (Hambrosky). She graduated from St. Catherine High School in Dubois as did all six siblings. She met Robert (Bob) Bellingham a few weeks before his Navy deployment and waited for Bob’s return to marry her true love. They had two sons before relocating to the Dallas Texas area for employment opportunities where she found Secretarial work at the Pollack Paper Company. This merged into St. Regis Paper Company where she advanced to be Senior Buyer of raw materials for plant operations. Betty attended and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville Texas for 50 years.
Betty is survived by her two sons and their wives; Mark (and Earlene) and Bruce (and Deborah) plus five Grandchildren – Adam, Robin, Cameron, Allison, and Logan with one Great-Grandchild, Henry. She was very proud to have four generations of Bellingham’s around her and will be greatly missed – especially the excitement she had when her Dallas Cowboys were playing on TV.
Services will be at Laurel Land Funeral Home on October 4th, at 2pm with a reception following for visitors and family. She will be placed next to Robert Bellingham at Laurel Land Memorial Cemetery. Flowers are welcome. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Compassion International Christmas Gift for those children in severe poverty.
