Betty had four children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom she loved very much. She raised three daughters as a single mother. Mrs. Farris worked for 24 years at the Accounting Firm Coopers and Lybrand.
She is survived by her daughters Jill Farris, Jeanette Dobbins and Jennifer Poblete, grandchildren Mellisa Hutcherson, Daniel Farris, Diana Farris, Troy Dobbins and Thomas Farris, great grandchildren Emma Hutcherson, Grace Farris and Marcelino Farris and a brother Robert V. Althausen. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a son Jack Farris.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6000 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
