

Betty Jo Baker was born on September 12, 1928 to John Noel and Jimmie English Baker of Dallas, Texas. After Betty graduated from Sunset High School in 1947, she went to work for Southwestern Bell, where she retired with over 40 years of experience.
Betty loved to paint and was a member of The Association of Traditional Artists. She was a world traveler with visits to Europe, many trips to Hawaii, and several trips to the Carribean. She loved spending time in Rockport, Texas, walking by the ocean, picking up sea shells, feeding the seagulls, and spending time just watching the life in front of her. She enjoyed her Dallas Cowboys, holding season tickets for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, relishing all the smiles and laughter during family gatherings.
Betty Jo Baker was proceeded in death by: parents John Noel and Jimmie English Baker; brother Weldon Baker; and sister Lea and husband Joe Hardin. She is survived by three nieces: Jodie and husband Rod Mannlin; Laurie Allen; and Kellie and husband Don Trayler. She is survived by grand nieces and nephews: Christopher and Amber Hardin of Oklahoma City, OK; Alan and Theresa Trayler of Durant, OK; Patrick Mannlin of Mesquite, TX; Rantz and Destyni Trayler of Jones, OK; Hunter and Chad Robertson of Forreston, TX; Keldon and Sydney Trayler of Amarillo, TX; McKenzie and Brandon Shaw of Dallas, TX. Great grand nieces and nephews: Hadley Grace Hardin, Cherokee Robertson, Taliyah Shaw, McCoy Trayler, and Dantzyn Trayler.
Visitation will be at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 15th, followed by a graveside service at 1 pm.
