Mrs. Betty Sue (Massengill) Johnson

Mrs. Betty Sue Massengill Johnson, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born in Dalton, Georgia and moved to Dallas, Texas in the 1960s with her husband, Ben, and son, Michael. Betty spent years working in the accounting field and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family. Words can not express how much we will all miss her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Albert Johnson, her parents, Grady and Ora Burgess Massengill, her brother, Wilburn Massengill, and three sisters, Francis Bridges, Kathlene Manning, and Doris Myers.

Survivors include her children, Michael (Michelle) Johnson, Deborah (Tim) Johnson, Victoria (Wayne) Orcutt, and Carol Johnson. Betty has 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Her brothers Morris and Terry Massengill also survive along with nieces, nephews, and their families.

Prior to the service, there will be a visitation hour with family and friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

Funeral services to celebrate Betty Sue's life will be held Saturday, July 19th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Laurel Land Funeral Home, Dallas, Tx. with Pastor Mike Stone. A committal service will occur Saturday , July 19th, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm after the funeral service at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
