Betty was born on February 1, 1935, in Teague, Texas, to the late Willard and Lois. Raised as an only child in Teague and Corsicana, she graduated from high school and soon married Charley "Buddy" Daniel. Together, they were blessed with two cherished children, Vickie Elaine and Joe Edd.
In September 1974, Betty married the love of her life, Othel Franklin "Frank" Kinsey, welcoming his two sons, Jeff and William, into her heart and home. A dedicated professional, Betty enjoyed a lifelong career with Southwestern Bell Telephone, where her hard work and loyalty earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Betty and Frank built a joyful life together in Ovilla, Texas, sharing 44 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in June 2018. The couple loved to travel, exploring the highways of the United States, vacationing in Hawaii, and cruising the Caribbean. In the early 1980s, following the loss of Frank’s sister, Betty and Frank opened their home and hearts to her nephew, Malcom, raising and loving him as their own son.
Their home in Ovilla was the heart of the family, known for hosting holidays filled with laughter, lively conversations, and "wonderful chaos." Betty’s Sunday dinners were legendary; following church services, she would fry chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and okra—treating the family to homemade banana pudding on the best days—before everyone settled in to watch the Dallas Cowboys. Her spirited personality, sharp wit, and gift for storytelling brought comfort and joy to every gathering. Above all, Betty was anchored by her Christian faith, which shone through her unconditional love and generosity toward her blended family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lois; her beloved husband, Frank Kinsey; her daughter, Vickie; her son, Joe; and her bonus son, William Kinsey.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter-in-law, Holley; her bonus son, Jeff Kinsey and his wife, Barbara; her grandson, Charley; her grandchildren, Jason Kinsey, Olivia Kinsey, and Angelia and her husband, Allen; and her great-grandchildren, Luke, Madelyn, and Mackenzie; alongside Malcom, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
