Betty Jo Stewart

Betty Jo Stewart, age 90, passed away on March 10, 2023 in Wylie, Texas. She was born on October 4, 1932 in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Annie Mae Stewart. Betty was raised in Dallas, Texas where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1950. She was a Secretary to the Postmaster General at the US Postal Service where she worked for more than 20 years.

In her spare time, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and the Lord, doing her morning devotionals, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and reading books. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving Christian woman who would do anything for her family, loved to laugh, had a beautiful smile, and was just the sweetest person you would ever meet. She was a blessing to everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Annie Mae Stewart; sisters, Georgia Stewart and Doris Pierson; brother, Robert Stewart Jr.; brother in-law, Robert Pierson; and great nephew, Jackson McKeon.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly Tillman and husband Terry Tillman; Nephews, Greg Pierson and wife Cyndi Pierson, Winn Tillman; Nieces, Tracey Mckeon and husband Tim McKeon; Michelle Jones and husband John Jones; Great nephews, Joel Pierson and wife Aubrie Pierson, Bryce Jones, Andrew Tillman, Ryan Mckeon; Vince Sullins and wife Irma Sullins; Andrew Sullins, Great nieces, Brie Dunagan and husband Hayden Dunagan, Jessica Foxen and husband Jake Foxen, Jennifer Tillman; Kristen McKeon; and many Great great Nieces and Nephews.
