Mrs. Beverly Bell

Beverly Diane (Hayden) Bell was born February 4, 1950, in Mexia, Texas, to the late Johnnie Green and Mable Blanche Hayden. She was educated in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt. She advanced her education at Texas A&M – Commerce, where she graduated with a B.A. from the College of Arts and Science. It was at Texas A&M – Commerce, where she met and married Clarence Luke Bell from Kilgore, Texas. To this union they had one daughter, Kimberly S. Bell. Beverly, a successful Retail Executive, whose career spanned four decades was recruited out of College into the management training program at Sears Roebuck & Co. After honing her skills with much success, she was recruited by a new Electronics Company from California expanding to Dallas, Circuit City, then Disney and later KB Toys. She retired as District Manager for Dollar General. One of Beverly’s greatest gifts and strengths outside of meeting and exceeding the goals put before her, was the identification, recruitment and retention of talented staff. Beverly found great joy in mentoring and helping people pursue and accomplish their dreams. Beverly’s real passion and dedication was to her church, Warren United Methodist Church. Accepting Christ at an early age, she learned early that accepting Christ was the first step, but establishing a relationship was the goal and like everything in her life, Beverly not only met her goals but exceeded them. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Mable and sisters, Ethel and Anna, Beverly devoted her time, talent and resources to Warren. She and her husband, Clarence put many hours and days into Warren, particularly after the fire and the rebuilding of the current church. Warren and the members of the church were family. Beverly leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband of 42 years, Clarence L. Bell; one sister, Anna F. Stanley George; two brothers, Johnnie G. Hayden, Jr. and Donnell Hayden; a devoted nephew, Dennis Coleman, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and colleagues.
