Beverly Woodall Cowan, 66 passed away peacefully, January 12, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Beverly was born in Longview, Texas on December 12, 1955, to Bob and Betty Woodall. After graduating from Longview High School in 1974, she continued her education at Texas Tech University where she obtained a degree in Education. Beverly then began her teaching career in Arlington, Texas where she met her future husband, Bryan. Bryan and Beverly moved to Cedar Hill where she continued her teaching career until her retirement. During her 28 years of service, she received numerous accolades including her favorite, Teacher of the Year. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to Lubbock to watch all sporting events and to various baseball stadiums across the country. Beverly’s greatest joy after retirement was spending time with her two grandsons, Connor and Carson, who adoringly called her Mimi. Known for her compassion toward children, quick wit, and ability to tell captivating stories, Beverly positively touched all who knew her. Beverly is survived by her husband of 41 years, Bryan; their 2 children, Clay Cowan of Fort Worth, Texas; Katy Keetch (Kyle) and two grandchildren, Connor and Carson of Arlington, Texas; a brother, Bobby Woodall (Jetta) of Eustis, Florida; and a sister Brenda Linton (Monnie) of Longview, Texas. She also is survived by 9 nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
