Dear Daddy: It has been a little over 6 years since you died, but for me it seems like yesterday because I remember that day vividly and always will.  Everyone and everything "stood still" for me that day.  The line between life and death is often one of HOPE, especially in war.  I know that you know this very well since you served in the Korean War where "approximately 1.79 million American military personnel served" and "of those, around 36,574 died as a result of the war."  I did not ever really understand your SILENCE about the Korean War until this World War III between the USA/UK/EU/NATO/Ukraine and Russia started.  Of course, "truth" is hard to come by in war when so much propaganda goes on from all sides.  Even so, you know me - I LOVE to research, and so I have a fairly good knowledge of this war in terms of the who, what, when, where, and why of it, and to be honest the "picture" of our USA's primary involvement in it long before it officially started is definitely NOT a "pretty" one.  Of course, if we humans saw all of the dead bodies on all sides of war, we would probably try harder to find and keep PEACE.  The worst thing about war is that the soldiers who fight it do not have the opportunity to know the TRUTH about such war until years later when TRUTH is finally revealed.  Since you are now with God up in Heaven, I ask you to pray with me for God to end this war that should NOT have ever happened since Ukraine/Ukrainians and Russia/Russians have a lot in common as regards close family relations, joint educations, joint work/professions, long-term friendships, language, history, culture, religion, etc. etc. etc.  Daddy, I am SO GLAD that you have been MADE WHOLE in Heaven since now NO WAR can ever cause you to again remain SILENT for so long. Dear precious daddy, I write to let you know that while the years  fly by, my love for you walks slowly with your hand in mine. You will soon be 94 years old, and I can just imagine how whole you are in Heaven. Of course, I know that your reunion with mom will be joyful, but for now just know that mom is doing good at 87 years of age and still loves life and living.  The boys and their precious families are all fine, and we get together from time to time.  As for me, I continue my peacemaker work and pray that we humans  will be more like Christ, the ultimate Peacemaker. My sweetheart is fine too, and I have fond memories of how tender he was towards you when he helped you strengthen your legs, arms, and head and took care of you with mom and me - I will always be grateful to him for his tender love for you. My Dear Precious Daddy:
This morning early before her work as a medical doctor and professor Oksana went to church in St. Petersburg to pay tribute to her mom who died three years ago on May 23, 2020 and to you who died on the same day four years ago.   
Daddy, while the years pass my memories of you do NOT fade.  
I know of no other way to honor your legacy in our family and to honor the sacrifices that you and your fellow soldiers made in the Korean War, many of whom were very young and just starting their adult lives, than to work for PEACE and PEACEMAKING in a world that very unfortunately works much more often for WAR and WARMONGERING.  
Regardless of what we humans do here on this earth to ourselves and to each other, I am confident that God wants ALL of us to live and die IN PEACE.  
I still sing to you my songs every day, especially my "Say Hello" song.
I still write my prose, and I am now finalizing my most recent work "I Finally Saw You Today".
Mom is doing fine and looking more beautiful every day as she holds you dear in her heart, and I am also still helping mom, just like Oksana and Tanya helped their moms and dads until their deaths, i.e., here I have such good spiritual examples set before me of adult children helping their elderly parents and I am thankful for them. 
And, I still remember your beautiful smile and your infectious laughter, and I just SMILED BIG myself as I wrote these words!
That word "still" I really like - it signifies continuity in life.

Dear Daddy:
I just want to let you know that I LOVE YOU AND I MISS YOU!
I sing my "Say Hello" song to you almost every day, especially when I am doing various work outside.
Mom is doing fine.
The boys and their families are too.
I know that you are up in Heaven with everyone whom you love (and who loves you), but we still MISS YOU down here.
You are 91 years old right now, and mom is 85 years old.
And we five "kids" are all growing older too - HA!

Was soo sorry to hear of Bill's passing. my brother Darrell just passed in February 2020, he loved Bill and Barbara and spoke of them often.

Hey, Dad -- it's Bob and Becky.  We just want to say that we love you and we miss you, and we look forward to seeing you again one day in Heaven. 

If you haven't done so already, please find Robby, Caleb, and Braxton, and let them know we are thinking of them and looking forward to our family reunion in Heaven -- with them and with all of our other loved ones who are (and will be) there.

Dad, you were all that we could have asked for in a father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, etc.  We cherish the memories that we made with you, and we thank you for them.

What a sweet sweet man. I always looked forward to seeing him drive up to the Sno cone shop  with happy family sitting  in the rumble seat.😊 May God wrap His loving arms around all of you at this most difficult time and give you peace.
