I have lots of fond memories of time spent with Billie and Robert Lee, whom we knew as Grandma and Grandpa Hanby, when we were growing up. I will forever miss Billie’s warm smile and quick wit. Ron and John, so sorry for your loss. Sending you two lots of love from our crew in Austin.

Billie was my mom’s cousin. Her dad and my grandfather were brothers. She loved her family and the community. Her love for Christ was evident in her daily walk. Billie Grace holds a special place in my heart, She played a key role in me landing a job with Mesquite ISD. I will miss her, but look forward to the day when I will see her again!❤️

Ron and John and Family and Friends: We Believe we will meet Billie--once again--in the Morning, as the song says. What a classic and classy lady Billie has always been-----what a contributor to the history of the stake in the prairie called Mesquite, Texas. What an important part of so many institutions was Billie. Very, very few added so much to our quality of life----for so long----a 96-year-life-so-well-lived! It's been said "that which is the best lasts the longest". True with Billie. May we never forget what civic leadership Mr. and Mrs. Hanby brought to First National Bank of Mesquite. May we never forget what civic leadership they brought to other businesses. Mr. Hanby was even a sales associate at McWhorter's Downtown (before McWhorter-Greenhaw, and before I was born). We'll never forget that Mesquite's Glory Days and Boom Years were all because of people like Mr. and Mrs. Hanby.

Always such a gracious lady. She and Robert Lee were great favorites of my mother, Wynelle Briley Patton. I grew up on funny stories of their childhood together. God be with you in the loss of your sweett mother.
