Billie was retired from the S & H Green Stamp Redemption Center where she was employed for 28+ years and worked her way up to Store Manager. She was a faithful and devoted member of Grand View Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas (formerly East Grand Baptist) where she made lifelong friends and volunteered anywhere she was needed (helping in the nursery, taught vacation Bible school, mentored in the after school Bible club, crocheted baby blankets for the children’s hospital, meals coordinator for those in need. etc.). She LOVED her sports. She never missed a high school football game and always rooted for the Mavericks, Rangers and her beloved Cowboys. For years, she and Buddy showed their competitive side on their bowling teams. After her retirement she loved the bus trips with her friends to places that enriched her love of this beautiful country and it’s history. She was a fantastic cook and her Thanksgiving turkey and dressing was the best. She always made guests feel welcome and would do anything for anybody. One of her greatest joys was spending time with family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
