Billie Dove Snyder was a mother, wife, friend, and mentor. She loved to dance with her husband and they could be known to burst into dances such as Rumba, Western Swing or Bossa Nova during their many entertaining parties.
Born in Rockdale, Texas April 16, 1930 and graduated High School in Houston, Texas as the Salutatorian, participating in the rifle team as well as winning champion awards for ice skating. Billie was also a fashion model before becoming an airline stewardess for Braniff Airlines, Latin American routes. She was married to Oliver Page Snyder in January of 1952 and had two sons, Oliver Page Snyder Jr. and John Clay Snyder. She earned an AB degree in Human Resource Management from SMU while working for State Farm Insurance Company of Dallas and being elected to serve as Vice President of the Dallas Personnel Association.
She is preceded by her husband Oliver Snyder and survived by her sons Page Snyder, his wife Eugenia and John Snyder and her grandchildren Hank, his wife Dee, Ben, Nic, Kevin, and Godfrey as well as her great-grandchildren Colt and Harlow.
