Our beautiful mother and grandmother, Billie Ruth Walker passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017, at the age of 87. She was born on December 1, 1929 in Dallas, Texas to Vardie and Willie Mae Barnhart. Billie was married to Richard Walker for 35 years until his death in 1982. Billie lived in Dallas for her entire life graduating from Adamson High School in 1947. She was a past President of the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts. Her life was full with her family and friends. Billie is survived by her children Marcie Trawnik, Patti Barton and Blake Walker, grandchildren, Carrie and Dan Garten, Maegen and Erik Kolberg, Ricky and Erica Barton, John and Elena Trawnik, Daniel and Jenny Barton and Ben Trawnik and 9 beautiful great grandchildren, Taylor, Madeline, Adam, Zoe, Linnea, Ellie, Kara, Lane and Lyla and best friend Geneva Jaffa. Billie is preceded by her husband of 35 years, Richard Walker, son Brad Walker, parents, Vardie and Willie Mae Barnhart, brother Jack Barnhart and son-in-law Larry Barton.
