Bill Barton, of Dallas, passed away on March 25, 2018 at the age of 93. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy on the USS Remy from 1943-1946. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Peggy Richardson Barton, and grandson, Joe Barton. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Roy Wilson of Dallas; son and daughter-n-law, Paul and Paula Barton of Kopperl; grandchildren Chuck Wilson and his wife, Christy of Midlothian; Zach Barton and his wife, Courtney of Waxahachie; Callie Scogin and her husband, Jay of Cleburne; and great grandchildren, Emily Wilson, Owen Wilson, Memphis Barton, Trinitee Barton, and Claire Scogin, as well as sister, Lou Buck of Piedmont, Oklahoma along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation March 29, 2018 from 9:00 - 10:00 am followed by Funeral Service starting at 10:00 am both at Laurel Land Funeral Home. A private burial service will follow at a later date.
