Bill enlisted in the US Navy 1970, honorable discharge 1979 E4 as Patrol Squadron 56. Prior to moving to Dallas in 1986 he lived in Sedro Wooly, Washington. Tucson, Arizona. He met and married Carol February 14,1987 while working at National Aircraft. In 1988 they started their own business NBC Aviation. They closed the business in 1994 and he retired at the age of 59 due to his health declining. Bill told Carol he accepted Jesus as his Savior at a young age when he went to a Baptist Revival with his struggling alcoholic father. Bill lost his father when he was 12 years old and became very angry at God. In 1993 he and Carol started attending Calvary Baptist Church in Duncanville.
He loved Deep Sea fishing and going on guided fishing tours. Also, spending time in Arkansas, hunting. He said he felt close to God in the woods.
He was involved in the men's ministry at our church in Duncanville. He enjoyed cooking, and loved working in the men's ministry especially helping out with the cooking and fish fries.
Due to his declining health he gave up his hunting this past deer season, however, he gained his eternal home while visiting his daughter Chrissy in Nevada. Because of her concerns for some family members health concern in his last text message to Carol, he said "Everything is God's plan to stop suffering. We're not to question His will but to thank and praise him for His mercies." Little did Carol know that this would be the last message for her and his family. We know, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
