Mr. Bob Holman Duncan

Bobbie Holman Duncan, age 98, passed away on September 15th, 2026 in Plano, Tx. He was born on May 1st, 1928 in Kemp, Tx to Audra Elston and George Duncan. Bob was raised in Kemp, Tx and attended and graduated from Kemp High School.

He married Melba Doyce Tadlock in 1959 and the couple had two children, Jim Duncan and Gregory Duncan. After 28 years of marriage, melba Duncan passed away.

Bob was an owner of a grocery convenience store called Duncan Supermarket. After he sold the stores, he went to work for Commonwealth Insurance Company. He retired from selling insurance and connected with an old friend. Love blossomed between Bob and Kathy Adell (Dell) McFaul and they were married December 3rd, 2003.

In Bob's spare time, he enjoyed playing golf (he even had a hole-in-one), playing card games, and making friends with everybody. He also enjoyed eating and taking naps. His friends and family will always remember him as a jokester and great card player.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Melba Tadlock Duncan and his second wife Dell Millard Duncan. His sister JoAnn, his brother Angus, his mom Audrey and his dad George. He is also preceded in death by his nieces, nephews and many of his friends.

He is survived by his son James Harold Duncan (wife Sammie Jo), son Gregory Holman Duncan DDS (wife Mary Rose-Duncan DDS), step sons Stephen Millard (Darcy) and Bart Millard (Shannon). His Grandchildren Jennifer (Drake Bentley), Jessica (husband Bryan Stewart), Jacqueline (husband Kyle Brockway), Kally Duncan, Andrew Duncan, Morgan (Luke Redd), Adam Millard (Marissa), Allison Millard, Sam Millard (Chloe), Gracie Millard, Charlie Millard, Sophie Millard, and Miles Millard. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Bob's greatest accomplishments are becoming a sergeant with the Army Air Corp during the Japanese occupation in World War Two. He was also the top seller at Commonwealth insurance every year for over 25 years as well as many other awards Commonwealth offered.

Visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, US, on September 26, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Grove Hill Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, US, on September 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
