June 15, 2018

I am so sorry to hear about "Miss Bobbie's" passing. My sincere condolences to her family.
I have such fond memories of her! She was my dance instructor - jazz - from elementary school through high school, back at Gingham Girl Dance Studios. Miss Bobbie was tough, yet she was a funny person and simply fun to be around. She expected so much of us and I still use some of her stretching techniques today. Her classes prepped me for drill team before there was such a thing as "drill team prep" classes. Because of Miss Bobbie's relentless pursuit of perfection in our dance, demonstrating once, walking through with us, then having us perform on our own, I've been able to apply that kind of thinking to other sports, paying attention to small details to improve my performance.
Thank you, Miss Bobbie, for teaching me to dance, expecting the best, and most important, providing great memories.
