

Bobbie Ellen Wilson Heslip (also known as Bobcat) was born on August 18, 1942, to the late Thirkield and Ruby Wilson in Waco, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Thirkield Wilson, Sr.; mother, Ruby Malone Wilson; sisters, Permiror Wilson Gilmore, Superior Wilson Allen, and Doris Al Wilson Thomas; and brothers, Thirkield (Dooley) Wilson, Jr. and Joe Samuel Wilson. Bobbie began her education at J. Newton Jenkins Elementary, graduated from George Washington Carver High School, and continued her education at Paul Quinn College in Waco. She accepted Christ at an early age, uniting with the Pleasant Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Rev. J.W. Williams. After moving to Dallas, she united with the Metropolitan Baptist Church under the pastoral guidance of the late Dr. George W. Payne, Sr. Her professional career started at Texas Instruments and Western Electric, both in Dallas, Texas. She retired in 1999 from Lucent Technology as an Electrical Technician. She was a lifetime member of Communications Workers of America (CWA) and a member and officer of the Pioneer Charitable Organization. Bobbie departed from this life on Saturday, November 12, 2016. She leaves to cherish her memories, her faithful husband of 42 years, Milton L. Heslip; his three daughters; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
