Bobby Lee Cadenhead, age 88, died on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his home in Pecan Gap, Texas surrounded by family. Bobby is survived by Lois Amundson of Pecan Gap, Texas, his sweetheart since 2005; his daughters Karen L. Smith of Lytle, Texas, Deborah S. Barclay and her husband, Harold, of Grand Prairie, Texas and Renee M. Argumaniz and her husband Pedro, of Arlington, Texas; brother, James Oliver Cadenhead of Pecan Gap, Texas; grandchildren, Melissa Hale, Dennis Kyle Smith, Joshua Smith, Natalie Argumaniz-Stewart and her husband Michael Stewart, Erica Argumaniz, Daniel Griffin and Abigail Argumaniz; great-grandchildren, Bryce Smith, Cayleigh Smith, James Hale, Jr., Ashley Ethington, Madeleine Argumaniz-Stewart and Stephen Craig; and great-great grandchildren Marley Ethington, Presley Ethington, and Justin Ethington, Jr. Bobby was born on January 12, 1929 in Fort Worth, Texas to parents Marguerite Marie and Jesse Brinson Cadenhead. He graduated from Forest Avenue High School in Dallas, Texas. In 1948 he joined the military as part of the 82nd Airborne Division and received an honorable discharge in 1952, after which he attended and graduated from Texas Trade School and had a long career as a Radio and Television Engineer, working at LTV, Collins Radio and finally, Moztek before retiring. Bobby was a great family man and loving son, father and “grampy.” He worked on projects such as home renovation, vintage car restoration and gardening. Bobby was a social, active man who loved dancing and could be found Friday evenings at the Opry in Roxton; he also enjoyed golfing and playing games and cards, and loved traveling with his sweetheart Lois, spending summers in Iowa near her family. He was also involved with the Pecan Gap United Methodist Church. A funeral is scheduled for Bobby at the United Methodist Church in Pecan Gap, 403 N. Second Street, Pecan Gap, Texas on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 12:00pm, with a visitation from 10am – 12pm and Rev. Michael Rowe will officiate.
