Brenda Elizabeth Morgan

Brenda was born in Wayzata, Minnesota on April 8, 1955, where she grew up as the oldest of three siblings. Her childhood was filled with adventure and fun family moments. She often reminisced about trips “up north” to Gust Lake, Lutsen, and Duluth, where they enjoyed fishing, swimming, and skiing together. Brenda graduated from Wayzata High School in 1973, and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota.

Brenda met Mark Morgan while working as a nurse in Minnesota. She married Mark in 1979 and they settled in Dallas, where they welcomed Melissa into the family in 1983. Brenda began her career as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines five years later. She worked at American Airlines for more than 30 years, making lifelong friends and traveling across the continental US, Hawaii, South and Central America, and Europe.

Brenda’s favorite place was the Caribbean, especially Grand Cayman and the British Virgin Islands. She made many memories there with Mark, Melissa, and family friends over the years. Brenda loved anything and everything related to the Caribbean – swimming in the ocean, relaxing on the beach, listening to music (especially the Barefoot Man), and enjoying local food. Some of her favorite moments were swimming with stingrays at Stingray City, snorkeling at Smuggler’s Cove, and exploring Jost Van Dyke by boat (always including a stop at the Soggy Dollar Bar).

Brenda loved her family and cherished spending time with her daughter. She had a caring heart and a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome, both in her home and on the plane. Her kindness, warmth, and caregiving spirit touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Melissa Morgan and husband Dmitry; her ex-husband, Mark Morgan; and her beloved dog, Emma. She is also survived by her brothers, Thomas Harloff (wife Lisa) and Terrence Harloff, and many friends who loved her dearly.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Amy Harloff, and her dogs, Abigail, Jacques, and Lucy.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on August 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm, at Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Brenda’s honor to East Lake Pet Orphanage in Dallas, or an animal rescue charity of your choice.
