Brenda Hammons Reed, born on January 23, 1947, in Minden, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Colby Reed, and son, Stuart Reed. Her in laws, Harold and JoAnn Reed, Claire and Jim Hart, Melinda and Julian Shuman, Celeste and Jack Stagg, and her cousin Barbara King. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Reed, her parents Orville and Frances Hammons, her in laws Harold and Verne Reed, and sister-in-law, Priscilla Savoy and husband Russell Savoy.
Brenda Reed grew up in Minden Louisiana and graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe which is where she met her beloved husband Donald.
The visitation will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with the funeral service at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
