Brian Paul Mack, 60, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully after a short but valiant battle with cancer on Monday, September 21,2026. Brian remained positive throughout this difficult journey and had looked forward to preparing gourmet meals for friends and family. Although Brian did not consider himself a foodie he was always searching for the next best barbecue restaurant or pasta dish.
Brian was born October 25th, 1965, He is preceded in death by his parents Dr David Mack and Elaine Mack and nephew Aaron Mack. Brian grew up in Springfield, IL. attending Christ the King grade school St, Francise Prep in Spring Grove, PA. and Springhill College in Mobile, Alabama. Some of Brian’s favorite childhood memories revolved around being on the dive team at Illini Country Club splashing the judges with an infamous cannonball and spending summers with childhood friends and neighbors, the Lynch family.
Brian led a very creative life. He worked in film, television series and commercials and even owned his own production company. He worked with everyone from Selena Gomez on the set of Barney and Friends to Tom Cruise, Kyra Sedgwick, and William Dafoe in Born on the 4th of July. He loved to tell stories of the many celebrities and musicians he’d worked with. Brian particularly enjoyed working with the crew on the set of Barney for Hit Entertainment. However, he was most proud of the moving company he started from the ground up and the recognition it earned within the industry. Brian was truly one of “the good ones” always willing to go the extra mile to help friends and customers alike.
Brian was happiest, spending time with his children and wife Catherine, the love of his life. The two met in college and their 30-year marriage produced three children: Brendan (Sarah) Mack, Wiilliam and Avery Joy. Family trips to Europe, specifically Ireland, held a special place in his heart. He often reminisced about staying at Dromoland Castle and golfing in the rolling fog of County Clare.
In addition to his wife and children, Brian is survived by five siblings Kevin (Kathy) Mack of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gregory Mack, Jeffrey (Kelly) Mack, Michelle (Anthony) Nicioli of Arlington Heights, IL. and Christine Mack of San Diego, CA; and his nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 9t, 11:00 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 6306 Kenwood Ave. Inurnment at Sparkman Hillcrest will be family only.
