Bridget Hardeman, the second child of Jannette Smith-Hilburn and the late Claude Hill, was born on November 6, 1972, in Dallas, Texas. She completed her education at the Lincoln Humanities and Communications Magnet High School, graduating with the Class of 1991, where she was a proud member of the Purple Flash Drill Team.
Bridget accepted Christ at an early age as a member of Lord’s Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Carlton Garrett, Sr. She later moved her membership to True Believers of Christ under the leadership of Pastor M.L Dorsey, where she faithfully served until God called her home. Bridget was a dedicated member who actively participated in various church ministries.
Bridget was truly the life of the party—always present, always uplifting, and always there for anyone in need. She never met a stranger, and her smile, laughter, and genuine spirit had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. To know Bridget was to love her. She had a gift for bringing people together, offering encouragement during difficult times, and celebrating life’s joys with those she loved. Her loving, compassionate, and outgoing spirit touched everyone she encountered. Bridget lived life to the fullest and found joy in capturing special moments through photos and videos while creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Bridget began her professional career at Parkland Hospital, where she worked for several years. She later continued her career with Horizon Line, where she dedicated more than 25 years of service. In her later years, her greatest joy came from being “Butta,” the loving nickname given to her by her grandchildren, whom she affectionately called her “world.”
On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 10, 2026, our beloved Bridget entered eternal rest, transitioning from labor to reward. Though our hearts are saddened, we find comfort in knowing that God makes no mistakes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Hill, and her brother, Myron Hill.
Bridget leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband of 26 years, Ronald Hardeman; her children, Jamaal (Kiara) Coleman, LaNorris “Duke” Webb, and Bri’Anna Webb, all of Dallas, Texas; and her stepchildren, Ronald “NuNu” Badgett, Tre’Van “Pekoe” Richards, Tyrion Hardeman, and Desmond Hardeman; eight grandchildren; her mother, Jannette Smith-Hilburn; her second mother, Annette Smith-Smith; her sisters, Claudia Hill and Lisa “Gidget” Taylor; her brother, Gerald “Wayne” Hilburn, all of Dallas; her sister/cousin, Kimberly Smith; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
