Bryan Abercrombie, a loving husband and father, transitioned July 24, 2022 at M. D. Anderson after a long journey. He was born on November 6, 1978 to James Charles (JC) and Bertha Abercrombie in Dallas, TX. Bryan received his formal education from Dallas ISD and was a proud graduate of David W. Carter High School class of 1995. Growing up in East Gate Missionary Baptist Church had a profound impact on his life and offered him the resilience it took to face many of life’s obstacles. He served on the Men’s Usher Board in 2009 and benefited greatly from the mentorship of Reverend H.D. Reagan.
Bryan maintained a positive attitude throughout his illness and his passion for life kept him at wineries, cookouts, and traveling. He truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was ready to go to an upscale restaurant or his favorite BBQ place. He was equally passionate about business. After obtaining a degree from Dallas College and a real estate license, Bryan worked as a mortgage underwriter and realtor.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Tonya B. Abercrombie, daughter, Breayja Abercrombie, father JC Abercrombie, sister Sonya Abercrombie, brother Darren Abercrombie, Nephews Tamarick Abercrombie, Zavien Abercrombie & Devan Lazenby. Nieces Ravenlynn Abercrombie, Azia Abercrombie, Taleah Blivens and a host of relatives and friends. Everyone Bryan knew will greatly cherish his impact on their lives.
A Celebration of Life will be on August 6, 2022 at 11 AM at East Gate Baptist Missionary Church in Dallas, TX. With a come and go visitation at Laurel Land Funeral home from 4-8 PM.
