Buman Ginsberg, 85, passed away on May 22nd, 2026 in Dallas, TX. Buman was born in Athens, TX on 01/09/1941, the middle child to parents Sam and Norma Wayne Ginsberg. He was raised in Paris, TX, then moved to Dallas to attend SMU, where he built a life centered around his family.
Buman never met a stranger. With his infectious laugh and huge hugs, he had a way of uplifting everyone. He didn't just see the glass as half full—it overflowed with joy.
An entrepreneur and the longtime owner of All-Star Driving School, Buman spent nearly four decades helping generations of Texans get behind the wheel.
Buman is preceded in death by his wife, Joy Geller Ginsberg (z"l) and survived by his loving family, who will carry forward his warmth, laughter, and love of life: his devoted and beloved partner, Melanie Spiegel, his three daughters, Libby Ginsberg (Ari Dvorin-Ginsberg), Mandy Ginsberg (Madhu Rajendran), and Jamie Ginsberg, his eight grandchildren (Talia, Maya, Remi, Gabi, Walter, Jillian, Mia, and Michael), his siblings Major Ginsberg (Laurie Ginsberg) and Marsha Rodsky, and Melanie's sons, David Spiegel (Susie Spiegel) and Robert Spiegel (Chad Cornwall).
Funeral service will be held at Temple Emanu-El in Stern Chapel on Monday May 25th, 2026 at 11:00am followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Buman’s memory to Temple Emanu-El at https://www.tedallas.org/give/.
