

Beloved father, grandfather, and friend passed away October 6, 2010 in Mesquite, TX. Burian, known as High to his friends, was born December 19, 1925 in Mt. Vernon, TX to Lizzie and Robert Hightower. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a teacher at Woodrow Wilson H.S. and Crozier Tech. High was Owner and Manager of Exxon Car Care and Reliable Car Care. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Dallas for 58 years, and also a longtime member of the White Rock Rotary Club. He made many cherished friends over the years, and he will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Hightower; daughter, Jill Hightower; and sister, Sue Kofahl. He is survived by his daughter, Jackie Holder; three sons, Bob Hightower and his wife Mary, Randy Fife and his wife, Suzanne, and Mike Weers and his wife Debbie; grandchildren, Audrey, April, Reese, Chase, Lindsey, Hunter, Sarah, Amanda, Ryan, Teresa, David, Chris, Eric, Todd, Landon and Hayley; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Rouse and Dorothy Jean Tittle; sister-in-law, Marsha Greenslait and her husband Ted; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service to celebrate High’s life will be held 1:30 PM, Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Bethany Christian Church, 6282 Oram St. Dallas 75214. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Christian Church. Arrangements under the direction of Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, Dallas, TX.
