Buu Van Le, 69, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away peacefully at 2 AM on July 30, 2024, at T. Boone Pickens Hospice in Dallas, Texas, due to End Stage Renal Disease. Born in Thừa Thiên - Huế, Vietnam, Buu lived a life marked by service, entrepreneurship, and a warm, welcoming spirit.
Buu served as a helicopter pilot, mechanic and translator for South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He later came to the United States where he pursued studies at the University of Alaska and later built a career as a lifelong entrepreneur and salesperson.
Known for his infectious smile and friendly demeanor, Buu was a beloved figure in his neighborhood. He had a passion for gardening, basking in the sun, caring for animals, fishing, and spending time with family.
Buu is survived by his children, Long Vu Le and Mimi Thuy Le; siblings Quang Thi Le, Vinh Van Le, Nam Van Le, Cao Van Le, and Cam Thi Bloom. He was predeceased by his parents, Khe Van Le and Vui Thi Le, and sister Toan Thi Le.
Services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Rd, Dallas, Texas 75218. The funeral service and viewing will begin at 2 PM, followed by visitation and prayers until 6 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 8 AM at Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish Church, 2121 W. Apollo Rd, Garland, Texas 75044. Cremation will follow at Gonzalez Funeral Home.
Buu's warmth, curiosity, and love for life touched all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
