Campbell is survived by his mother, Kim Gerwig, his brother Jacob Olgreen, by his sister Elizabeth Dowell, and by step brother’s John Gerwig III and Todd Gerwig.
Campbell was a kind heart to those that got to know him. He brought an irreplaceable happiness and laughter to his friends, family, and strangers of all walks of life. He would reach out consistently to send messages of love and gratitude to those around him. If you needed help, he would gladly offer a hand or come to the rescue if it was within his means. Campbell had a brilliant wit, an infectious laugh, and a caring for others that will be dearly missed. He enjoyed reading, had a love of all genres of music, and while taken far too young, lived a full and vibrant life during the 36 years he was given to us on this earth. Campbell became a devoted Christian later in his life and Christ was by his side while he fought his illness, until God finally took him into his arms.
A celebration of Campbell’s life will be held at a later date at Highland Park United Methodist Church.
