September 26th, 2018 Candy Sue Capper was lifted away after showing great strength and courage through her 4-year battle with neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her family and passed peacefully.
Candy Sue was a loving daughter to her mother Virginia Capper, and father Jerry Capper. A big sister to her three younger brothers Lance Capper, Danny Capper and Clint Capper, and was an incredible role model to her nieces and nephew Jordan Capper, Christina McMurry, Haley Capper, Hannah Capper, and Summer Capper. Candy was an incredible leader from the captain of her cheerleading squad at Seagoville High School to the president of her sorority Gamma Phi Beta, to helping with her younger brothers growing up. She could brighten an entire room with a single smile. Anyone who met Candy Sue couldn’t help but to immediately love those charming dimples and her kind demeanor. She built a strong workforce at FDIC where she worked for 20+ years before retiring at 56. After Candy learned that she had been diagnosed with cancer, she spent her days living life to the fullest. She traveled the world with her sisters from Gamma Phi Beta and enjoyed time spent with family.
She has taught all of us what it means to have strength and courage throughout her journey and will always hold a special place in our hearts. May she rest peacefully.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Candy on December 9th at the Hilton Harbor in Rockwall.
