Carla Rosa (Rosetta) Caruso Tettamanzi of Dallas, TX, and formerly of New York, NY, and Fort Lauderdale, FL, died peacefully on June 17, 2018, surrounded by her family members. She was born in Augusta, Italy, on August 3, 1930, and spent her childhood in Eritrea, where her father was an Italian military officer. Her family returned to Italy during World War II. Her language studies led her to London, Paris and eventually New York, where she settled in 1964. During her career, she worked for NATO in Eritrea and Italy and at the Wall Street office of Banca Commerciale Italiana in New York, where she retired as an assistant treasurer in 1998. She moved to Dallas in 2008 to be closer to her family. Rosetta was preceded in death by her brother Carlo. She is survived by her only daughter, Paola, and son-in-law Jim, of Dallas; five grandchildren, Laura, Jimmy, Julia, Andrew and Elizabeth Buckley; her sister Giulia Kanner of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and her niece Giulianella Monteleone of Plantation, FL. A memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at noon, June 23, 2018, at St Monica Catholic Church in Dallas. Donations can be made in Rosetta's memory to the St Monica School Endowment Fund.
