Carmen is survived by her children, Marquise, Kamaria, and Kateria Hopkins; Husband, James Tutson; siblings, Tamika Hopkins, Angela Berry, Eric Hopkins, Mark Berry, and brother-in-law Gerard Anderson; grandchildren, Ke’irya Freeman, Jamal Jackson Jr, Ahniya, De’Anthony, and Legend Hopkins, nephews Cedric Turner and Uriah Waits and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. She is preceded in death by Mother Sandra Delores Hopkins-McQueen and Father Horace Lee Hopkins.
Carmen was born on April 1, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to Sandra and Horace Hopkins. She graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School. Carmen began working for Dawson state jail and Walmart as a Correctional Officer and Cashier.
She was a loving, caring, outspoken down to earth individual who loved her family and who was passionate about her grandchildren especially her GrandHusband De’Anthony) and reading}.
