To Those I Love

When I am gone, release me, let me go. You musn’t tie yourself to me with tears. Just be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess, How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it’s time I traveled alone. So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It’s only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won’t be far away, for life goes on, So if you need me, call, and I will come. Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near. And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear All of my love around you, soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile, and say “Welcome Home.”

I have known Carmen since I moved to Texas in 1991 and worked with her at my first job here. She joined us at Enviro Design shortly after I started there in 1993. We used to kid that we were almost related, since we knew each other so long!
It was a pleasure to work with her and I looked forward to her coming in to the office every morning. She was very kind, patient and a very good listener. I have missed her since retiring in 2018, but glad I saw her one day last September.
She was a special lady and will always be fondly remembered!

Tia Carmen has a special place in our hearts but for Paul (Jr.) she was much more then that as he adored her beyond just being his Tia Carmen. Spending the holidays with her was what we always looked forward to she always made it special. She was gracious, loving, giving, beautiful with such charisma and a smile that she always had any time that we came to her house and a hug and always said "I'm glad yah came" always with a smile. Tia you will be truly missed by so many. You leave us with so many treasured memories that are never forgotten. Always in our heart.

Carmen was such a wonderful person...generous, kind, happy and definitely a joy to be with. At Christmas, she always made and shared her home made tamales which we looked forward to. The crazy thing was...she didn't like tamales!
Truly she will be missed.

Carmen and Manuel were godparents to my son, Nick.
We lost contact these last few years but I continued to cherish
the memories we made together.
She will be remembered as a loving wife and Mather.
