Carolina Mena

Carolina Mena, 71, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on May 16, 2026. She was born on January 16, 1955, in Dallas, where she was also raised—rooted in the city that shaped her life and the community she called home.

Carolina graduated from LG Pinkston High School. In November 1983, she married David Mena Sr., and together they built a family centered on devotion, steadiness, and care. She was preceded in death by her son, Salvador Gaitan, and her husband, David Mena Sr.

With quiet dedication and a strong sense of responsibility, Carolina worked for the NTTA for 18 years, a long and faithful chapter of service marked by consistency and pride in a job well done.

Carolina is survived by her children, David Mena JR and Valerie Vasquez, and by her beloved grandchildren: Alexis Vasquez, Alexis Gaitan, Natalie Zuniga, Emily Mena, Liliana Mena, Serenity Vasquez, and Ezra Vasquez.

Visitation will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247, on May 26, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Rosary will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247, on May 26, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes, 5605 Bernal Dr, Dallas, TX 75212, on May 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220, on May 27, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
