Carolyn Carson Crossley, born on August 25, 1933, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Anna Euple (Hollingshead) and John Leslie Carson, joined her precious Lord on September 5, 2025.
Carolyn graduated from Little Rock High School in 1951. She then attended William Woods College from 1951 to 1953, followed by the University of Arkansas from 1953 to 1955, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Education.
In 1960, Carolyn moved to Dallas, where she worked for Neiman Marcus before marrying Michael E. Crossley in 1961. Together, they were blessed with four children. Carolyn's greatest joy in life was being a mother. She lovingly poured herself into her children's lives- volunteering at school, leading Bluebird groups, organizing carpools, and creating a nurturing home.
Highland Park Presbyterian Church (HPPC) was a cornerstone of Carolyn's life. She was a longtime member of the Elliot Class and was deeply involved in the spiritual life of her family. Sunday school, Church Circle, Bible Study, and serving as Parish Shepherd Director were all central to her. She also served faithfully as a Deacon. Her faith was a constant and guiding presence throughout her life.
In 1993, Carolyn became a licensed real estate agent and joined Allie Beth Allman & Associates, where she created many fond memories and lasting friendships.
Carolyn is survived by her four children, Ann Blair Crossley of Dallas, TX, Merry Page Crossley Farris (Woody Farris) of Madison, MS, Margaret Elizabeth "Beth" Crossley Buell (Peter Buell) of Dallas, TX, and Michael Edwin Crossley, Jr. (Austen Briggs Crossley). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Merry Alston Farris, Carson Buell (Eliza Moran Buell), Jackson Buell, Blake Buell, Peter Buell, Maisie Crossley, and Cecily Crossley; and two great-grandchildren, Neely Buell and Margot Buell.
Carolyn's life was one of faith, family, and service. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life for Carolyn Crossley will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, in Wynne Chapel at Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
