Carolyn was born in Heidelberg, Germany, into a military family. Carolyn experienced travel at a very young age. which gave her a wanderlust for life. Studying in High Wycombe, England, and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Carolyn developed strong bonds with people who became lifelong, loving friends. Her passion for England never wavered and she loved Rupert Bear, the royal family and cups of tea.
Carolyn went on to have an extensive career with State Farm Insurance, spanning the Midwest to the West coast with many interesting diversions along the way.
Carolyn settled in Dallas in the mid 2000’s, whilst continuing to be adventurous and explorative in all manners of life. Even after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2014, she saw that as no reason to slow down. Carolyn was a shining life force. Her kind, generous, nonjudging spirit is a testament to how she lived her life and affected anyone she came to know. She embraced all challenges with an optimism and strength that you could not begin to comprehend, given the daily obstacles she was confronted with. With sadness we say goodbye, most excellent sister, dearest friend and loving cousin. Thank you for being our forever inspiration.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma research foundation or Dallas Arboretum in honor of Carolyn's name.
She is survived by her two sisters, Janine Pam Cardin, Patricia Anne Heal and first cousins Simon Hunter and Susannah Wright.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Sparkman-Hillcrest.com for the Heal family.
