Carolyn was born in Crittenden County, KY, to Robbie Jewel (Rustin) and John Collyer on June 14, 1947. She was the only daughter in a family of 5 children. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brothers John Collyer and Robert Wakefield. She was survived by brothers James and Thomas Wakefield. Carolyn also left behind her husband of 49 years, Robert E. Jones, and their two daughters Dewina (Richard) Acosta and Alisha Jones, along with 5 grandchildren; Rick, Andrew, and Amber Acosta and Lauren and Lance Rodriguez.
Carolyn was a loving, predictable soul, as constant as the seasons. She was steadfast, a genuine anchor for her family throughout her life, who selflessly put her family’s needs above hers. She was firm in her faith and believed wholeheartedly in the promises of our Heavenly Father. Today she rests comfortably in the place He had prepared for her. Her memory will be carried in the hearts of all who loved her.
