Charles Earl Allison, a Proud Marine, was born January 10, 1943 in Carthage Texas. Dad was born to the parentage of Merilyn Roquemore and Kendall Allison who preceded him in death . He attended the DISD Schools where he received his High School Diploma in 1961 from Dallas James Madison High School. As he begin his adult life he fell in love with his first love Josephine Henry, to this union 4 boys were born.
In 1961 Dad enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for the next 6 years as an attachment to a Mortar Unit. During his time in the military he received various service Medals, The Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. His specialty in the military was a Fab Try Man (Marksman). He was such a proud Marine that after his term he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve.
Dad went on to work for Central Freight lines and then to Merchant Freight where he later retired. To get out the house he begin driving school bus for the Dallas ISD for the next 3 years.
Dad had many interests and hobbies. He loved Drag Racing, fishing, barbecuing and drawing images of the Hill Country landscapes. His passion consisted of spending timeless hours working on his truck. He enjoyed many types of music but he loved Lou Rawls and Barry White’s music.
Dad leaves to morn his loss his 4 sons Charles (Allison) Ronald (Lisa) Sedrick , Kendall (Angela), a Special friend Ms. Jean Harlen, his right hand man and brother Gerry Allison, his Sisters Velma Spencer (Booker), Cynthia Taulton, Kathie Allison, Teresa Jill Taulton, his brothers Kendall (Pete) Allison, and Hayward Taulton. Many other loving and caring Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.
