Sorry that Mr. Andrews has left this earth. He was such a wonderful part of my early years growing up as a student at Wimbish Elementary. He always greeted us in the mornings with a smile. Even though he towered over us his warmth was felt through his caring and friendly presence. Well wishes for his family and those that loved him.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was always so nice and gentle with all the kids. I started at Wimbish the second year it was open. He was most definitley a Wimbish icon.

Dr. Andrews was an awesome principal, as well as a very kind, gentle man. I was a student at Wimbish in the late 70's, and I can remember waving to him as I looked way up to him, and saw him waving back to me with a smile. My prayers and thoughts are with his family at this time.

Dr. Andrews was a wonderful principal. I was at Wimbish in the late 70's and remember how kind he was to all of the students. He was an awesome, gentle leader. My thoughts and prayers are with his family as they go through this difficult time. You should know that Dr. Andrews touched the lives of many in Arlington and will not be forgotten.

When I heard of Dr. Andrews passing, my heart sank. What a wonderful, kind and gentle man. He will always hold a place in my heart as the "man to look up to" at Wimbish Elementary.

Dr. Andrews was my principle at Wimbish. He was a very special man. We need more leaders like Dr. Andrews. My heart broke a bit today hearing of his passing. He meant so much to so many.

My heart goes out to the Andrews family. I went to Wimbish all through elementary, followed by my brothers, sister and then my children. Dr. Andrews touched and molded the lives of so many children. I feel privileged to have been one of them. He will be greatly missed by many.

I was at Wimbish all my elementary school years, I will never ever forget Dr. Andrews always making a sweet comment about my long red hair, because he knew I was always made fun of. He will always have a special place in my heart. This is a sad loss for all Wimbish alumni. Lori Thomas-Johnson

Sad to hear of Dr. Andrews passing. I was at Wimbish from 1969 to 1975. I remember Dr. Andrews as commanding presence who kept me in line. Very fond memories of my time at Wimbish and of my interactions with him.
