 Soft spoken and small in stature......but a giant to everyone that knew him. Respected by all for his wisdom, his caring and his willingness to help.

CHARLES HEDGES WAS A VERY DEDICATED EMPLOYEE OF WOMACK MACHINE SUPPLY CO FOR MANY YEARS.  CHARLIE WORKED FROM 7:00 AM UNTIL 5:00 PM – 5 DAYS A WEEK AND WAS A VERY DEDICATED EMPLOYEE.

CHARLIE TYPED EVERY LINE IN 5 WOMACK TEXTBOOKS AND ALL OF OUR CATALOGS AND WORK SHEETS AND PASTED THEM UP AND PHOTOGRAPHED THEM FOR THE PRINTER.  HE ALSO HAND SET TYPE FOR ALL OF OUR PRODUCT BULLETINS AND MAGAZINES.  CHARLIE HAD MANY FRIENDS IN THE INDUSTRY AND HE TAUGHT FLUID POWER SCHOOLS ALL OVER TEXAS, OKLAHOMA, LOUISIANA AND NEW MEXICO.  THESE SCHOOLS WERE TAUGHT ONE NIGHT A WEEK IN SEVERAL CITIES.  IN ALL THE YEARS CHARLIE WORKED FOR WOMACK I DON’T BELIEVE I EVER HEARD A DISCOURAGING WORD FROM HIM.  CHARLIE WAS AN IDEAL EMPLOYEE AND WONDERFUL PERSON.

Uncle Charles was a good man, and a wonderful uncle.  I have many happy memories of extended family get-togethers -- camping near Galveston, going to Six Flags, and the traditional Hedges clan Thanksgiving weekend every year, to name a few.  He was a pretty good organist -- practiced hours and hours -- and we had lots of fun listening to him play.  He was a good sport about letting us kids play it, too.  He doted on Aunt Vinnie.  She was the first person who owned a microwave oven and we all thought it was fantastic.  My prayers are with my cousins and Florence now.  God bless all of you.  Roberta
