

He was a member of the U. S. Army. A expert Dental Technician and a Mason. He was quick to laugh love and share his knowledge and memories with others. He showed himself friendly to all who knew him. He was known by many names Papa Charles, Uncle Charles, Brother Lemons and Charlie Boy just to name a few. He met Josephine Mims they fell in love and in 1984 they married. They moved to Dallas Texas in 1993 and were married for 28 years until her passing in 2012. Charles accepted Christ and was baptized at Jordan Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. R. M. Robertson. Charles and Josephine were active members of Jordan Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Metropolitan Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Christopher J. Evan’s where they continued to work in the ministry.
On December 16, 2025 Charles transitioned from earth to heaven. He was preceded in death by parents, C. T. Lemons and Margaret Lewis Moore; his beloved wife, Josephine( JoJo ) Lemons; his son, Charles R. Lemons; his twin brother, John E. Lemons; and his baby brother, Jerry Don Lemons.
He leaves to cherish his memories his brother Ronnie (Diane) Lemons of Compton,California; his goddaughter, Zena (Leonard) Brown of Dallas, Texas; 3 granddaughters; 1 god-grandson; his cousin Billy (Bettie) Lemons of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host of other family, loved ones, and friends.
A visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232, on January 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same location on January 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a committal from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
