

Chuck was born in Brigham City, Utah to Charles Frank Machala II and Sara (Zievert) Machala. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1978 and continued to receive a BS in Physics and MS in Physics from UT Arlington.
He worked at Texas Instruments in semiconductor and design center 1984-2012. He had multiple publications in his field of Physics. Chuck was a Porsche Driving Instructor for the Maverick Region Porsche Club. Chuck was Men's Top Driver 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and fishing, especially at Possum Kingdom. He also loved listening to all types of music and all the different airplanes. He also loved family activities, playing poker with his brother and friends and all of the holidays. He was very generous, humble and kind, also super smart. Chuck was so proud of his son Charles Frank Machala IV.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents Sara (Zievert) and Charles Frank Machala II, his sister Judi Gillespie and son Charles Frank Machala IV.
He is survived by his siblings Mark (Susan) Machala, Denise Martelli, Tim (Sherie) Machala, Andrea (Tom) Rauch; brother in law King Gillespie; nieces Erin, Natalie and Elise; great nieces Madeleine, Riley and Violet; great nephews Mason and Trey; daughter in law Wenhsing (Cheng) Machala and many friends and relatives.
All services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, Texas 75023. A visitation for Chuck will begin at 9:00 AM. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with Rev. Bruce Bradley officiating. An interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas 75220.
