Throughout his life, Charles found deep meaning in music—loving it, living with it, and sharing his knowledge of it in any way he could. That generous spirit of sharing was perhaps most clearly heard in his long-standing service to the community as a volunteer DJ at KNON 89.3, where for about 40 years he played a wide variety of music he loved, offering listeners not only songs, but a steady presence and an open ear.
In later years, Charles also devoted himself to photography. With patience and a thoughtful eye, he pursued the craft with care, and his work was recognized when he won a medal for one of his pictures at the state fair.
Charles will be remembered for a “live and let live” approach to life—an attitude that reflected a quiet respect for others and a belief in making room for different paths, perspectives, and voices.
A special thank you to those who donated to make this service possible.
