

He was born on July 2, 1940, in Jewett, Texas, a son of the late Alva and Vera Robinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Terry Robinson, his wife, Dottie Payne, and brother, Billie Rae Robinson. He is survived by his son, Danny Robinson and his fiancé Trisha Beasley, granddaughter Alyssa Robinson, and daughter Jill Robinson.
He leaves behind special friends including Donnie and Paulette Bullock, George and Ann Holmes, Carl Dean and Jean Shields, and his special neighbors, Isreal Baldivia and his entire family. In addition, Charles is remembered by many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
In his youth Charles was an athlete who enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball for Teague High School. After graduating, he made his way to the Dallas area and worked for the United States Post Office delivering mail in Oak Cliff, Texas. In the early 70’s he was transferred to Duncanville, Texas where he remained for the rest of his career. After delivering mail, he was moved to the postal clerk’s window where he was very well known and made many friends in the Duncanville area. He retired after 33 years in December of 1999 without missing one day of work his entire career.
He spent his retirement traveling around the country enjoying sightseeing, visiting various resorts, beaches, and casinos with the love of his life, Dottie. He enjoyed watching football and was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
A memorial service celebrating Charles’ life will be held February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Laurel Land Memorial Park Chapel in Dallas, Texas. We invite all who knew and loved Charles to join us in honoring his memory.
