Charles Salyards, loving husband and father, age 70, passed away from this earth on February 22, 2024. He was born on December 11th, 1953 in Dallas, Texas, to Gladys Mildred Butler. He was a fun-lovin person who brought a smile to everyone he met. He was also kind-hearted and generous and would give his last dollar to someone in need. Always a devout Jehovah's Witness, he firmly believed that he would be reunited with wife Lidia when he passed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lidia Salyards; his mother, Gladys Butler, and sister, Linda Joyce Messmer. Charles is survived by his three sons; Chris, Santino, and Gabriel; granddaughter, Denise; daughters-in-law, Lupe and Kimberly Salyards; sister, Mickie, and brother-in-law, Clifton McCabe, along with numerous loving aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at Grove Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park. A lunch and Celebration of Life will be hosted immediately after the service at White Rock Lake, Winfrey Point located at 950 E Lawther Dr, Dallas, TX 75218.
