Charles R Sherrard

Charles Richard Sherrard was born March 19, 1941 in Dallas, Texas. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles Marvin Sherrard and Lillian Ethelene Sherrard, by brother, Alvin Sherrard, and sisters, Charlene “Candy” Craver and Linda “Lynn” Hartin, and son, William Fredrick “Freddy” Sherrard. He was survived by son, Clifton Sherrard (wife Priscilla Sherrard), and daughters, Terry Orocio (husband Regulo Orocio) and Teresa Barker (husband Joe Barker), and his loving grandchildren, Michelle Asanza (husband Luis Asanza), Laura Cadena, Anthony Atterbury, Hannah Barker, Sarah Barker, and Lucas Barker.

Charles was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army where he served two years in Okinawa, Japan and other locations. Upon finishing his tour of duty, he came back home to Dallas, Texas and started a beautiful family. In his later years, he enjoyed working at Cedar Crest Golf Course and at DAS Trucking where he made many friends along the way.

Charles was very passionate about Elvis Presley and winning stuffed animals from machines for his grandchildren. He had a special relationship with God that he kept close to his heart.

A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
